The fee is deducted from the seller's payout on release, not added to your deposit. A dispute resolved in your favour refunds the full amount with no fee. Values shown are defaults until the contract is read.
Know the deadline. Once the seller accepts, you have 7d to release or dispute. After that the seller can claim the funds and you can no longer dispute.
Gas and the escrow fee are shown before signature.
